Victim critical following assault

Police in London are appealing to the public for information after a man was violently assaulted near Western University.

The London Police Service said officers responded to the area of Western Road and Sarnia Road at around 2 a.m. on Saturday following a 911 call regarding the assault.

Officers located a man who had suffered serious injuries who was then rushed to hospital. Police said the male victim remains in critical condition.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
