Charges have been laid against a 62-year-old St. Thomas man accused of attacking his 60-year-old roommate with a machete.
An argument between two men who live together turned violent on Sunday with one grabbing the large knife and hitting the other several times, St. Thomas police said.
A 60-year-old escaped without injury and reported the incident to police a day later.
The 62-year-old was arrested and has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. He has been released from police custody with a future court date.
