Man charged in pharmacy robbery

London police say a man faces charges after a robbery at a pharmacy.

According to police, a man went into the Shoppers Drug Mart at 759 Adelaide Street North around 8:15 p.m. Monday and then left with property that belonged to the pharmacy. When a security guard approached and told the man to return the property, the man pulled out a knife and a screwdriver and threatened the guard.

Police responded and arrested a suspect not far from the scene.

A 37-year-old London man is charged with armed robbery.
