Two more face charges after Victoria Park 'Freedom Protest'

The City of London says two more people are facing charges after a March protest that violated public health guidelines.

A 57-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, both from Aylmer, have been issued a summons for their role in the March 20 protest. London police and Aylmer police assisted the City of London's by-law department in the investigation.

The gathering in Victoria Park violated public health guidelines due to the number of people who attended.

Two other people, a 24-year-old woman, and a 38-year-old woman, were already issued summons last month.

According to the City of London, those women each face $10,000 fines if found guilty.

Ontario's Stay at Home Order has been extended to June 2nd. The order prevents any indoor gatherings, and limits outdoor gatherings to members of the same household.
