London police say three teens are charged after officers seized thousands of dollars worth of the deadly drug Fentanyl.
According to London police, officers were called to a parking lot in the area of Grey Street near Clarence Street after reports of suspicious men looking through a vehicle. The men left the scene before police arrived, but officers were able to get descriptions. Police found three suspects in the area of Horton Street and Clarence Street.
While speaking with officers, one of the men dropped a bag that police believed contained drugs.
"During the course of the arrest, one suspect resisted police, while the other two males fled on foot," police said. "Multiple officers attended the area, and the other two suspects were arrested without incident."
Police say they seized 63.6 grams of suspected fentanyl, which they say has a value of $25,440. Also seized were 37 Codeine pills, two cellular phones, and $995 in cash.
An 18-year-old London man, an 18-year-old Toronto man, and a 17-year-old from London are each charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking. The 17-year-old is also charged with resisting arrest.
