Police charge 19 patrons at Tillsonburg golf club

Oxford County provincial police say 19 people at a Tillsonburg golf course were charged under the Reopening Ontario Act (ROA) over the weekend.

Police reported the charges against the 19 individuals on Monday afternoon.

The charges follow a series of offences being reported by police in relation to The Bridges at Tillsonburg golf and country club located on John Pound Road.

OPP laid the first charge against the business last Thursday after the course opened for business the weekend of April 24.

On Saturday, police charged the golf club a second time for failing to comply with the lockdown orders.

Fines of $750 are possible for failing to comply with an order and/or $1,000 for preventing others (including individuals, employees or other workers) from following an order.
