Woman critically hurt in two-vehicle crash

A 26-year-old woman is fighting for life after a two-vehicle crash in south London.

Emergency crews responded to the collision on Wellington Road and Harlech Gate shortly before 10 p.m. Monday.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital. One, a 26-year-old woman, remained there on Tuesday morning in critical condition, London police said. The other driver, a 24-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries and has since been released.

Police closed the southbound lanes of Wellington Road between Southdale Road East and Bradley Avenue to allow officers to conduct an investigation. All lanes were reopened just before 5 a.m. on Tuesday.
