A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault and robbery reported in mid-September in southeast London.
London police said a woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries on September 13. She was found around 4:30 a.m. after officers received reports of a woman screaming in the area of Dakin Street and Price Street.
Police previously said the female victim was in the suspect’s vehicle before she was sexually assaulted and robbed of her personal belongings and money in a nearby park.
Alexander Elijah-Zeledon of London was arrested on Wednesday and charged with sexual assault with choking, robbery/theft from a person with violence, and uttering threats of death or bodily harm.
The accused was released from police custody and has a court date in London scheduled for February 9.
The charges against Elijah-Zeledon have not been proven in court.
