London police have two people in custody and are looking for a third after a weapons and stolen car investigation.
According to police, it all began on Friday, July 31 when a 2010 Mercedes E550 was reported stolen from a dealership in Thames Centre. A licence plate was reported stolen to the Ontario Provincial Police on the same day.
On Monday, August 24 at around 9:50 a.m., two women and a man went to the home of some acquaintances on Glenwood Avenue. Police said there was a verbal fight and one of the women, armed with a firearm, made threats to one of the women who lived in the home. Police were called and the women and man took off in a Mercedes.
"Multiple officers searched for the car, and the vehicle was located in the area of Marconi Boulevard and Trafalgar Street being operated in a dangerous manner," police said in a news release issued Tuesday. "A short pursuit ensued, and in the area of Highbury Avenue and Bradley Avenue, an officer used a tire deflation device on the vehicle, causing two of the tires to deflate. The suspect vehicle continued westbound on Bradley Avenue and was located abandoned on Jalna Boulevard."
Officers searched the Mercedes and found a pair of brass knuckles, the barrel of a handgun, and .22 calibre blanks.
A search of the area led to the arrest of two suspects around 10:40 a.m.
Taylor Lee Eugenio, 25, and Michael Lenard Gordon, 38, both of London are charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. The woman is also charged with failing to comply with a release order.
A third suspect is still at large. Meghan Aileen Orton, 31, of London is charged with uttering threats of death or bodily harm, possession of a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
