Police investigate King Street fire

London police are investigating a fire that broke out in Old East Village early Sunday morning.

Emergency crews responded to a fire at a duplex at 629 King St., near  Adelaide Street North around 3:40 a.m.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and one person was taken to hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

Ten residents were displaced by the fire and have been temporarily relocated with the help of the City of London.

The cause of the fire and the damage estimate is currently undetermined and the investigation was assigned to members of the London Police Service Street Crime Unit.
