According to the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police, officers were called just after 8 p.m. Sunday to the area of Middlemiss Drive after getting reports of gun shots.

"Police soon arrived on scene and confirmed active gunshots in the area," police said in a news release issued Tuesday. "As a result of an investigation, officers located seven adults at the scene. All involved parties were detained without incident."

Officers seized three handguns, several spent shell casings, three high capacity magazines, six standard magazines, a large quantity of ammunition, Canadian currency, suspected cocaine, hashish, and fentanyl.

No injuries were reported.

The seven people who are charged, who range in age from 23 to 38, face firearm and drug charges.
