Drivers and cyclists whose commute takes them through Old East Village (OEV) will have to find a new route for the next few months.
As of Monday, Dundas Street between Hewitt and Ontario streets will be closed as work continues on the OEV reconstruction project.
The closure, which includes the intersection of Dundas Street and Rectory Street, is expected to last until late fall.
A detour route is being set up for drivers and cyclists. London Transit buses will also be rerouted around the construction.
For pedestrians, signs will be put in place to guide them safely through the construction zone.
Businesses will still be open and accessible while the work is being completed.
