Single-vehicle collision sends one to hospital

One person suffered serious injuries after a collision in Thames Centre.

The crash happened on Saturday, shortly after 3 a.m. Members of the Middlesex County OPP, Fire and Middlesex-London EMS responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision on Westchester Bourne at Dingman Drive.

According to police, the vehicle left the roadway, travelled down an embankment and came to rest at the base of a ravine.

One person was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious.

The roadway was closed for several hours as police investigated. It has since reopened.
