Man charged in school break-in

A 35-year-old London man is facing charges after a school in the northeast-end was broken into Tuesday night.

London police received several calls about a suspicious man at Northbrae Public School at 335 Belfield St. just before 7 p.m. When officers arrived they were told the man had gone inside the building.

The police canine unit was brought in and the man was found following a search of the school.

"During the course of the arrest, the suspect resisted the officers by pulling away from them as they attempted to handcuff him," police said in a statement.

A 35-year-old London man is charged with break and enter with intent and resisting arrest. It was also determined the accused was wanted on an outstanding warrant. He will appear in court on October 13.
