Victim of homicide at Oneida Nation of the Thames identified

Police have identified the London man who was shot and killed on Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation earlier this week.

The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to a Clara Road property on Monday at around 8:30 p.m. where 36-year-old Isaac Doxtator was found dead from a gunshot wound.

As a result, 43-year-old Harlo Cornelius of the Oneida Nation has been arrested and charged with first degree murder. Cornelius is being held in custody pending a future court date.

An investigation into the death remains ongoing and members of the public can expect to see an increased police presence in the area as they conduct an investigation.
