Electrical fire causes $50K damage to east London school

An overnight fire at Ealing Public School has caused thousands of dollars in damages.

Firefighters were called to the building at 840 Hamilton Rd. at around 3 a.m. on Wednesday after the fire was spotted on the roof.

Fire crews extended a ladder from one of their trucks to reach the top of the building. They then quickly extinguished the flames.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the blaze was determined to be electrical.

Damage is estimated at $50,000.
