Suspect in sexual assault surrenders

London police say a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault of a woman as she left a music festival in Harris Park has turned himself in.

The assault happened around 10 p.m. on September 5, 2019. According to police, a woman was leaving the Parkjam Music Festival at Harris Park when she was inappropriately touched by a man.

"The assault occurred on Harris Park Gate in the area of the Queens Avenue overpass," police said in a news release that was issued on February 28. "The victim was not physically injured in the incident."

Police released a surveillance video that showed a suspect. Investigators were able to identify a suspect, who turned himself in on Thursday evening.

Richard Antoni Goetz, 33, of Ilderton is charged with sexual assault. He is to appear in court on April 28.
