Charges have been laid in a three-vehicle crash that sent five people, including a baby, to hospital in Simcoe.
Norfolk OPP were called to the crash on Queensway East, west of Donly Drive around 10:50 a.m. on Sunday. Officers determined an eastbound pickup truck collided with a northbound vehicle that was pulling out of a mall parking lot. The force of the crash sent the truck into another pickup that was stopped at the traffic lights, causing it to flip onto its side.
The driver and passenger of the overturned truck had to be cut from the wreckage. They were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Two adults and an infant in the other pickup were taken to hospital as a precaution. The third driver was not hurt.
The crash closed Queensway East for roughly two hours.
The driver of the pickup truck that collided with both vehicles has since been charged with failure to stop at a red light.
