The London Lightning suffered a 131-119 loss against the Sudbury Five on Saturday.
London trailed behind the Five throughout the first quarter. Sudbury continued their reign with a 71-56 lead heading into halftime. By the end of the third frame the Lightning fell short and went into the final quarter 18 points behind the Five. The Bolts were unsuccessful in securing any type of lead or edge against Sudbury who finished the game with a 12 point advantage.
AJ Gaines was the Lightning's lead scorer with 30 points. Xavier Moon added another 26 points and seven assists. Marcus Capers helped out with four rebounds and 9 assists.
London will be at home on Wednesday for a shot at redemption. The Lightning will play the Five again at 7 p.m.
