Lightning strike down Five 102-98

The London Lightning topped the Sudbury Five 102-98 in NBL Canada action on Monday.

Sudbury was able to take a two-point advantage by the end of the first quarter, but the Lightning inched ahead to take a 56-53 lead heading into halftime.  London remained ahead 77-74 at the end of the third frame, but the Five were able to tie things up at 92-92 with four mins left in the fourth. London narrowly gained the lead in the final minutes to win with a four-point advantage.

Mareik Isom led the Lightning with 30 points and six rebounds, while Garrett Williamson added another 20 points and had nine assists. Marcus Capers also put up 14 points and eight rebounds.

The Lightning return home on Thursday to take on the Windsor Express at 7 p.m.
