Young named Parliamentary Secretary for economic development

The MP for London West has again been named one of the Liberal cabinet's Parliamentary Secretaries.

It was announced Thursday that Kate Young will be the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages. Young will have responsibilities related to economic growth in Ontario.

“I am honoured and excited to be named to this important role in Canada’s most populous region," Young said in a statement issued Thursday. "As Parliamentary Secretary I will work closely with FedDev Ontario and regional stakeholders who support innovation and economic growth. Creating jobs of the future is essential to maintaining Canada’s competitive edge in the global economy.”

Since being elected in 2015, Young has served as Parliamentary Secretary for Science and Sport, Public Services and Procurement, Accessibility, Science, and Transport.
