Knights triumph over Rangers 5-3

The London Knights defeated the Kitchener Rangers 5-3 at Budweiser Gardens on Sunday.

Jonathan Yantsis scored the first goal of the game for the Rangers, a power-play goal 14:01 into the first period. The Knights' Matvey Guskov responded with a goal 15:05 into the frame.

Connor McMichael scored a power-play goal for the Knights 0:38 into the second period. Liam Foudy and Billy Moskal pushed the Knights into the lead by three points.

Michael Vukojevic scored 7:58 into the third period. London's Krill Steklov responded with a power-play goal that was followed by a goal from Kitchener's Reid Valade.

London goalie Dylan Myskiw saved 39 out of 42 shots on net.

The Knights will face off against the Mississauga Steelheads at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre on Thursday. Puck drops at 7 p.m.
