Teen approached by suspicious man

Police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspicious man who approached a teenager in Woodstock.

The Woodstock Police Service said on Thursday at around 11:21 a.m., the 18-year-old woman was walking from College Avenue Secondary School when she was asked to provide directions to Southside Park by a man driving a red car.  During the conversation, the man propositioned the woman, asking that she get into his vehicle. She declined.

The man is described as possibly being of Hispanic descent, in his late 30s or early 40s, with tan skin, short black hair, short black beard and rotting/decaying teeth. He was also seen wearing a black t-shirt.

The man's vehicle is described as having a significant amount of rust around the wheel wells. The vehicle is believed to be shown in the pictures provided by police, which can be seen above.
