Police probe shooting at south London hotel

London police are investigating a shooting at a south-end hotel after a man showed up at a local hospital with an apparent gunshot wound.

Hospital staff notified police around 7:25 a.m. on Monday that the man had come in for treatment of the injury, which is considered to be non-life threatening.

The investigation led police to a hotel on Wellington Road South, where officers found evidence of a shooting. The name of the hotel where the incident is believed to have taken place has not been released.

Police are in the early stages of their investigation and are asking anyone with information to call them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
