Tips help police nab sexual assault suspect

Tips from the public helped London police make an arrest in connection with a sexual assault that took place earlier this month in a northwest-end store.

Police released a surveillance photo of a suspect earlier this week who allegedly approached a woman in a retail store in the area of Fanshawe Park Road and Hyde Park Road on June 5 and touched her in an inappropriate manner. The woman did not suffer any physical injuries, police said.

Information from the public helped police identify a suspect and included a prior unrelated and unreported sexual assault allegation against the same individual.

John Jaworski, 22, of London is charged with two counts of sexual assault.

He is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on July 30.
