Woman charged in stabbing

A London woman is facing charges after a stabbing in the northeast end.

Police were called to a home in the area of Kipps Lane and Arbour Glen Crescent on Saturday night. A man and two women were in the home when one of the women is alleged to have punched the man.

"The other woman demanded the assailant leave, at which time the accused is alleged to have stabbed her," police said in a statement issued Tuesday.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, the suspect took off before officers arrived. An arrest was made Monday afternoon.

Keeley Dianne Shipway, 27, of London is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and assault.
