Suspect at large after man bound and beaten in St. Thomas home

Police in St. Thomas are investigating after a man escaped a house he was allegedly bound and beaten.

On Friday, the man showed up to a residence covered in blood. The victim said he was tied up and beaten inside a nearby home and that he was able to escape through a window in the basement he was being held in.

He was able to identify the two men responsible.

As a result, a 29-year-old St. Thomas man has been arrested and charged. The other suspect, a 47-year-old St. Thomas man, is still at large.

Police said this was an isolated incident and the two men knew the victim. They add that the suspect at large does not pose a threat to the community.

The male victim received minor injuries and was not hospitalized as a result of the attack.
