Knights fall 4-3 to Otters in OT

The London Knights fell short of a comeback in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Erie Otters on Friday.

The Knights were on the board first with a goal from Antonio Stranges 3:30 into the game, but the Otters scored three back-to-back goals to take a 3-1 lead heading into the second period.

Matvey Guskov scored 14:26 into the second to cut Erie's lead down to one, and Alex Formenton scored 10:58 into the third to tie the game and force OT. However, the Otters scored 19 seconds into extra time to earn the win.

Knights goaltender Joseph Raaymakers made 22 saves out of 26 shots on net.

The Knights will look to rebound when they take on the Otters again on Sunday. The puck drops at 4 p.m. in Erie.
