Dozens of hockey parents involved in brawl in Simcoe

Norfolk County OPP are investigating a fight involving dozens of parents at a kids hockey game.

Investigators said they received a call about a large fight at an address on Talbot Street North in Simcoe just before 5 p.m. Sunday.

Police said during their investigation, they learned the incident involved several parents who got involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical fight.

Reports to police indicated that approximately 30 parents were involved in the altercation after a youth hockey game finished, but the crowd had already dispersed by the time officers arrived at the scene and there were no reports of any injuries.

Anyone with information regarding the incident should contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122. You can also submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS) and could be eligible for a cash reward.
