Knights defeat Wolves 5-3

The London Knights took a bite out of the Sudbury Wolves with a 5-3 victory on Friday.

Evan Bouchard kicked the game off for London by scoring a goal 8:37 into the first period. The Wolves scored a goal of their own just under five minutes later, but Liam Foudy put the Knights back in the lead with a goal 14:29 into the first frame.

Alec Regula scored early in the second to give London a 3-1 lead, but Sudbury responded with two back-to-back goals to tie the game with just over four minutes left in the period.  The Knights inched ahead again thanks to Kevin Hancock who scored late in the second, and London capitalized in the third with Hancock scoring his second of the night in the final 20 seconds of the game.

London goaltender Joseph Raaymakers made 33 saves out of 36 shots on net.

The Knights are back on the ice on Sunday when they take on the North Bay Battalion. The puck drops at 2 p.m. in North Bay.
