IceDogs slip against Knights 5-4 in OT

A third period comeback helped the London Knights to a 5-4 overtime win over the Niagara IceDogs on Thursday.

The Knights started off strong with Matvey Guskov and Sahil Panwar scoring in the first period to give London a 2-0 lead heading into the second. However, the IceDogs gained momentum in the second frame and responded with four back-to-back goals to take a 4-2 advantage.

Cole Tymkin scored early in the third for the Knights and Nathan Dunkley added another with just over seven minutes left in the period to tie the game and force OT.

Dunkley scored the game-winner for London 4:33 into the overtime period.

London also outshot Niagara 48-35, with Knights goaltender Joseph Raaymakers making 31 saves.

The Knights are back on home ice on Friday to take on the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
