Police Identify Driver Killed In Crash Near Aylmer

Elgin County OPP have released the identity of the driver who was killed in a fatal head-on crash just east of Aylmer last Thursday.

The OPP say 65-year-old Brian Hall from Gabriola Island, British Columbia was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Hwy. 3 (Talbot Line) between Hacienda Rd. and Springfield Rd. in Malahide Township around 9:45am Thursday.

Police say he was driving a sedan that was heading west when it collided with an eastbound pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
