Lightning Fall To Highlanders 124-121 In OT

The London Lightning fell to the Cape Breton Highlanders 124-121 in overtime on Thursday.

At the end of the first quarter, the Lightning held a 33-26 lead over the Highlanders and remained ahead by four points heading into halftime. Cape Brenton closed the gap in the third to come within one point of London's lead, but the Highlanders fought back in a back and forth final frame to tie things up at 112-112 at the end of regulation.

London started out strong in overtime and took the lead with three minutes left to plat, but the Highlanders surged passed the Lightning to win with a three-point advantage.

Royce White led Londo with 42 points and 21 rebounds, while Garrett Williamson put up 30 points and had ten rebounds.

The Lightning are on the road on Sunday to take on the Kitchener Waterloo Titans. Tip-off is at 2pm.
