The London Lightning lost a little magic in Moncton Sunday afternoon.
The Lightning led the Moncton Magic by double-digits in the first half, but squandered it by halftime in their 108-103 loss at Moncton Coliseum.
Despite the stumble, London clings to first place in the NBLC Central Division with a 21-11 record.
London led 30-18 after the first quarter but Moncton roared back and only trailed the Lightning 51-50 at halftime. The game remained tight in the third quarter but the Magic pulled away down the stretch to take the win.
Kyle Johnson came off the bench and led the Lightning with 21 points. Garrett Williamson led the starters with 19. Doug Herring Jr. and Royce White each sank 16 points, while White picked up a double-double with 14 rebounds.
Terry Thomas of the Magic led all scorers with 29 points, and led Moncton with 12 boards for a double-double of his own. Marvell Waithe scored 17 points off the bench while Juan Pattillo added 16.
The Lightning continue their eastern Canada swing Monday when they visit the Saint John Riptide.
