A flurry of three-pointers helped the Windsor Express contain the London Lightning Sunday.
The Express improved to 9-11 on the season with a 107-96 win over the Lightning at the WFCU Centre. It's the second win in a row for Windsor, who are in fourth place in the NBL Central Division standings.
The Lightning dropped their second straight, but with their 14-7 record, they are tied for the lead in the Central with the St. John's Edge.
Windsor came out swinging in the first half of the game and led London 54-44 at halftime. London attempted to fight back in the second half but with the Express offence clicking, they were unable to close much ground.
Chad Frazier, Braylon Rayson and Anthony Ottley Jr. made shooting from beyond the paint effortless for Windsor, frequently hitting three-point shots.
Joel Friesen-Latty attempted to bring the Lightning back into the game by sinking three triples in a row to start the fourth quarter. He finished the game with 19 points.
Julian Boyd played his first game this season in a Lightning uniform after sitting out with a knee injury. Kyle Johnson also returned for London.
The two rivals meet again Thursday night at Budweiser Gardens.
