Lightning Outlast The Storm To Continue Win Streak

The London Lightning edged the Island Storm 112-110 in a back-and-forth game on Friday.

The Lightning trailed PEI by one point at the end of the first quarter but were able to gain a 51-46 lead heading into halftime.  The Storm battled back in the third to retake the lead and make it 84-77 as the game entered the final frame.

The two teams traded buckets in the fourth, but Royce White clinched London's 12th straight win with a dunk with only 2.1 seconds left on the clock.

White also led London in scoring with a total of 30 points and nine rebounds. Joel Friesen-Latty put up 26 points and four rebounds, while Garrett Williamson had another 18 points and seven rebounds.

The Lightning will now head to Halifax on Sunday to play the Hurricanes at 1pm.
