CTV Parts Ways With Anchor Norman James

A familiar face on local television will no longer be delivering the news on CTV London.

Anchor Norman James and the network have parted ways. But the details surrounding the long-time anchor's departure are not known. The private broadcaster has only confirmed that James is no longer in the company's employ.

"I can confirm Norman James is no longer with CTV," Bell Media spokeswoman Renee Dupuis-Macht said in a statement.

James began his broadcasting career in 1998. A graduate of the broadcast journalism program at Conestoga College, he worked in Kitchener and Hamilton before coming to London in 2002.

Up until March 2016, James was CTV London's sports anchor but switched to news anchoring after budget cuts led to the cancellation of sports anchors.
