Cyclist Hospitalized After Hit And Run

A cyclist has been seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in east London.

The London Police Service says on Tuesday around 5:48pm, the cyclist was struck in the area of Dundas St. and Hale St., and the vehicle then left the scene.

The cyclist was rushed to hospital with life threatening injuries. The name, age and gender of the cyclist have not been released.

Dundas St. between Highbury Ave. and Hale St. is expected to remain closed while officers conduct an investigation. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Anyone with any information regarding this collision is asked to contact the London Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
