Police say on Sunday at around 5am, officers went to a home on Osgoode Dr. in London to respond to the distraught man.
According to police, there was never any danger to the public and the area was secured quickly.
Through negotiations, London police were able to resolve the situation.
Police say at around 6:30am, a 50-year-old man was taken into custody.
London Police Service is continuing to investigate.
