Man Charged In Hotel Room Assault

A 22-year-old London man has been charged after a woman in the sex trade was assaulted and choked in a south-end hotel room.

London police say a woman was in a hotel on Wellington Rd. around 6:45am on Saturday when she was attacked by a man. She was able to free herself to call 911. The woman and man did not previously know each other.

Investigators arrested a man in relation to the attack around 12:30pm on Sunday.

Tyler Bell of London is charged with assault, obtaining sexual services for consideration, and communicating with the intent of obtaining sexual services. He is to make his second appearance in London court to answer to the charges on Tuesday.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

The attack comes two weeks after Josie Glenn, a 26-year-old body rub parlour employee, was murdered. Glenn's remains were found at a home at 252 South Leaksdale Circle on October 27.

Oluwatobi Boyede, 25, is charged with second degree murder and offering an indignity to a human body. He had previously been charged with assaulting a woman and sexual assaulting, choking, and forcibly confining another woman in two separate incidents in February of this year.
