St. Thomas police say a 28-year-old man was accused of stealing the marijuana plant by a 61-year-old man on Catharine St. around 7pm Monday. The downtown confrontation, which had began as a verbal argument, quickly turned violent.
Police were called and arrested the 61-year-old man. He is charged with assault and was released on a promise to appear for court at a later date.
