Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspect

London police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect following an armed variety store robbery in the southwest-end of the city.

According to police, a knife-wielding man walked into the convenience store at 122 Wharncliffe Rd. S around 10:30pm on Wednesday and demanded money.

The man when took off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Fortunately, no one was injured during the robbery.

Police are searching for a man described as Caucasian, 25-35 years old, approximately 200 lbs with a light coloured goatee. He was wearing a baseball cap, a beige jacket with a hood pulled over his baseball cap, black jogging pants, sunglasses, and orange work-style gloves.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
