A 19-year-old woman who was reported missing earlier this week has been found dead.
The London Police Service says the body of Jo Speers was discovered in the water at Westminster Ponds on Friday around 10:25am.
Members of the Major Crime Section attended the scene to investigate, along with the Office of the Chief Coroner.
Foul play is not suspected.
Speers, who also went by the name Caroline, went missing on November 19 around 3:45pm in the area of Commissioners Rd. E and Wellington Rd. Police issued a missing person's report on Monday, citing concern for her welfare.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday.
