A portion of Hwy. 401 eastbound had to be closed for several hours Sunday afternoon following a collision involving two vehicles.
A passenger car and a tractor-trailer collided around 2:30pm in Blandford Blenheim Township, according to Oxford OPP. This prompted an emergency detour to be set up between 401 EB mile markers 238 and 250.
Oxford EMS transported both of the car's occupants to a local hospital..
The section of the eastbound 401 between Roads 22 and 29 was closed for over four hours while authorities investigated.
