Cause Of Death Unknown In Deslippe Murder

London police say an autopsy has been completed but a cause of death in the murder of Nathan Deslippe has yet to be determined.

The autopsy at the London Health Sciences Centre began on Monday and was conducted over two days. Police say further analysis and testing needs to be completed before a final determination of the cause of death can be made. Those tests are expected to take several weeks.

Deslippe was found dead inside an apartment at 323 Colborne St. shortly after 10am on Sunday. The 27-year-old's family issued a statement on Tuesday remembering him as a beautiful, kind, caring soul who wanted to help and motivate people.

A funeral for Deslippe is being held at 10am Thursday at St. Peter's Basilica.

William Joles, 27, who was arrested at the scene, is charged with one count of second degree murder. He is also charged with one count each of forcible confinement, assault, and uttering threats to case death against a second individual in a related event at the Colborne St. apartment.

Investigators remain at the Colborne St. apartment for a forensic examination.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
