Serious Crash Sends One To Hospital

An elderly man is fighting for his life in hospital after a two-vehicle crash north of London.

Middlesex OPP say a car and SUV collided at the intersection of Adelaide St. N and Ilderton Rd. around 6:25pm on Tuesday. Prior to the crash the SUV was heading west on Ilderton Rd. while the car was traveling south on Adelaide St., which is governed by stop signs.

The driver of the car, A 79-year-old London man, was taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition. Two of the six people inside the SUV were also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. They have since been treated and released.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
