He has since been identified as 19-year-old Hussein Da Silva of Hamilton.

The Canadian Coast Guard attempted to aid in the search for Da Silva, but due to poor weather conditions, they were unsuccessful.

At around 7:15pm, two people walking along with beach at the provincial park, spotted Da Silva in the water and brought him to shore. They attempted CPR but were unable to resuscitate him.
