UPDATE: Power Restored In London

An equipment failure is getting the blame for knocking out power to approximately 5,000 customers in northeast London on Wednesday afternoon.

London Hydro spokesperson Nancy Hutton says a switch failed and that caused electricity service to be disrupted in the Fanshawe Park Rd. and Adelaide St. area, parts of Old North, and as well as in an area near Adelaide St. and Huron St.

Hydro crews have since fixed the issue and power was restored to all customers just before 6:30pm.
