Arrest Made In Violent Home Invasion

Police have made an arrest in connection with a violent home invasion in St. Thomas.

Police say an armed man broke into a north end residence Saturday, then threatened and assault the occupant.

The man took off before police arrived and the occupant was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

Police say the incident was domestic in nature.

After a brief search police arrested 32-year-old Timothy Smith. Numerous domestic related charges including threats, assault and weapon offences are pending.
