It happened Saturday in the area of Edward St. and Devonshire Ave. Police say the woman had been picked up in the area of Dundas St. and Ashland Ave. about 20 minutes before she was assaulted.

She was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been released.

Police say she had been picked up by a man in a newer model silver Honda Civic with a noisy after-market exhaust. The car was being driven by a black male, approximately 40 years of age, who was wearing a baseball style hat. Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the driver.
